Today I was finally able to start on the camper. I made sure to label every panel I took down so I can use them for templates. I also bagged and tagged all the screws and hardware I removed.

Parts - License Plate Tail Light
I've been really busy with other things since bringing home the trailer but I have been ordering everything. I'm hoping to begin work today.
One of the things I ordered is a really cool third tail light. Spartans have a third tail light mounted to the license plate bracket. I bought a new stainless bracket since mine was completely rusted and broken. Then I found a stainless stop light made for 40's hotrods.
Turns out both parts are made by the same company and fit perfectly together.
The light is made of stainless steel and uses real glass. stop is amber and the rest is red.
I cant wait to mount this on the Spartan!

'47 manor
A few weeks ago I was looking for another camper restoration project. After weeks of searching I was beginning to get frustrated when I found this:
It was in my price range and not too far away. By not too far away I mean 9 hours each way.
I loaded up as many tools as I could and early in the morning I drove up and picked my dad up and hit the road.
When we got there we checked the camper out and came to agreement on the price. Then we began the process of getting it road-worthy. As you can tell from the above picture the tires were shot but they did hold air when I inflated them. That was enough to get us to a tire shop and have them replaced.
Here is a picture of of the camper as we hit the road.
We got it home without incident and I have since begun the process of removing the inside. Here are some pictures of the inside:
The Birch panels have a beautiful patina to them but unfortunately most of them have water damage or are warped beyond repair. I will however be able to use them for a template for the new Birch panels.
I have created a material list and drawn up a floorplan that I think I'm happy with.
I should be able to start the restoration in two weeks.
